What's in a Name?

I finally chose a name for this thing. My 5th grade Language Arts teacher told me that I should just write my paper, story, etc first and THEN choose a name. I've been quite frustrated that creating a blog broke that rule. My 20 something-year-old rule. Thus the several week long journey to find the name.

Ahhhh. Success at last.

So after I found a name that satisfied me, my sister asked me if I was going to be breakin' it down. Givin' the lowdown on life in Brazil.

Well, kinda. It's actually from a Jack Johnson song. Breakdown. Something I read said he was inspired by a train ride through France. That when he wrote the song, he was thinking at a very surface level. He just wanted the train to stop so he could get out and enjoy where he was. Another thing I read said it was about a relationship. Whatever. I'll take the first interpretation (don't burst my bubble people). Taking the time to notice your surroundings, hoping for a breakdown to slow things down. So, that's what you'll get here. The breakdown begins on July 23rd. Until then, enjoy my preparations, trips to the post office, read about the goodbyes and times with friends at home.
